The Hexonia acquisition was officially marked with a Christmas event

Several members of NFM Group senior management marked the acquisition of Hexonia with a Christmas market outside the Hexonia HQ last week.

This historic day started with a tour of the Hexonia facilities in Nettetal. A presentation was then made by Walter Øverland, CEO of NFM Group, who outlined the way forward for the company.Newly appointed Managing Director Nils H. Toverud then presented his future plans for the company. Nils joins Hexonia GmbH as Managing Director together with Sabine Alberts who has been in Hexonia for several years.- A great day, with great people! It has been quite a journey to reach the milestone to officially take over Hexonia, and to be able to celebrate this together with all our new colleagues at Hexonia was the best possible closing of year. Now, an existing journey start for all of us, states Toverud. Hexonia has a tradition of organizing a Christmas market in December and this year was no exception. During the ceremony, the previous CEO of Hexonia Mr. Gerd Hexels, was given NFM's official axe - as a sign of our gratitude for the opportunity to take over Hexonia.The stage was then set for social gatherings and mingling throughout the evening. Of course, delicious local food and good drink were also on the agenda.Sabine Alberts gave a short speech, followed by a longer German address by Nils H. Toverud, who is currently studying the German language.Before food and drink were to be consumed, the delegation from NFM Group was asked to sing a Norwegian Christmas melody to the largely German audience.In turn, the song of the evening was "Merry Christmas", which is of German origin with its original title "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht". This song is one of the most popular Christmas carols in the world and was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber in 1818.
