On Thursday, June 22, the NFM Group had the privilege of hosting a distinguished visitor, Sergeant Major Rune Wenneberg of the Norwegian Armed Forces.

With his extensive role in managing training and equipping soldiers and commanders in the Norwegian Armed Forces, Sergeant Major Wenneberg paid a visit to further understand the operations of NFM Group and witness a presentation on the upcoming NFM Modular Combat Vest System (MCVS) called M22, which will soon become a standard piece of equipment for Norwegian soldiers.

Specially tailored vest system for Norwegian soldiers

The M22 is a vest system specially designed to meet the unique needs of the Norwegian Armed Forces. Based on our standard product, the THOR™ MCVS, the M22 offers exceptional versatility and adaptability for diverse mission requirements. Its modular design allows for easy adjustments and customization, while THOR™ line compatibility ensures seamless transformation.“Developed in collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces, the M22 will soon provide Norwegian soldiers with an ergonomic, functional, and modular system that allows for customization, including varying levels of protection. The collaborative efforts

The M22 project is a testament to the strong partnership between the Norwegian Armed Forces and Equipnor AS, a project steered by CEO Gunnar Børte and Project Manager Martin Brinkmann.

This robust collaboration exemplifies how collective effort can lead to exceptional results.

Confidence in the M22

During the visit, Sergeant Major Wenneberg displayed unwavering confidence in the newly designed M22 combat vest system."The M22 deliveries will commence this year, and it is an ergonomic, functional, and modular system that allows the soldiers to customize various aspects, including the level of protection. It is designed to fit all body types and genders. Our soldiers need this, and I know they are looking forward to it!"

One of the unique and easily recognised features on the M22 is the laser cut grid. It was developed by NFM between 2014 and 2016 to meet a specific need for a versatile and modular load-bearing vest, pushing the boundaries of design and innovation to create a design with seamless integration between the other system elements.

M22 deliveries and impact

By the end of 2023, thousands of M22 will be supplied to the Norwegian Armed Forces, enhancing their operational capabilities and protection levels. The introduction of the M22 marks a significant milestone in equipping Norwegian soldiers with state-of-the-art gear.
