There are a variety of branches where soldiers are stationed, each with their own unique roles and responsibilities.Individual countries have different military structures and organizations based on their own unique needs and circumstances. However, there are some common branches of the military.- NFM has a number of employees that have worked in various branches of the police and military including some of those listed below. This experience allows us to create suitable tactical products including vest systems, helmet systems and combat clothing that we know will benefit these soldiers in their duties, states Mads Larsen, Chief Strategy Officer at NFM.

Artillery soldiers

operate cannons, mortars, and other artillery weapons. They are responsible for providing indirect fire support to other units on the battlefield.

Mechanised soldiers

operate tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and other armoured vehicles. They are typically responsible for providing support to infantry units and engaging in direct combat, whereas standard infantry soldiers engage the enemy in direct ground combat and are typically equipped with small arms and other infantry weapons. - I was in a direct-action force of the Mechanised Infantry in the Norwegian Army’s elite Telemark Battalion. Due to our responsibilities, in typically combat situations, we would organise our equipment as light and tag-free as possible to quickly get in and out of the vehicles. With NFM’s Modular Combat Vest System, lightweight options for the end-user are easily available, states Larsen.

Engineering soldiers

are responsible for constructing and maintaining fortifications, bridges, and other infrastructure. They may also be responsible for mine clearance and other tasks related to mobility and counter mobility.

Special Forces operators

are specially trained and equipped to perform a wide range of special operations, such as reconnaissance, counterterrorism, and direct action. They may be organized into units such as Commandos, GIGN, Green Berets, SAS, Delta Force and SEALs.[qode_simple_quote text_title_tag="h4" author_title_tag="h5" simple_quote_text="- « A special forces operator will not need the same clothing and personal protection equipment as an engineer, for example.
