Hexonia GmbH is a manufacturer of combat clothing and personal protective equipment for soldiers and security forces. Based in Nettetal, Germany, the company specializes in the development of integrated clothing and head protection systems. Hexonia's products are characterized by their modular design, which allows users to configure their clothing or helmets according to their operational situation. In addition to providing protection, this modularity also ensures a high level of comfort.
Hexonia manufactures the majority of its products in its own production facilities in Nettetal and Thum-Jahnsbach. It has a modern industrial park covering around 13,000 sqm, with its own development and production facilities, logistics, prototype studio and laboratory.
STRONG PARTNER FOR THE GERMAN AND DUTCH ARMED FORCES
Hexonia has been an important partner to the German Armed Forces as a supplier of clothing systems for over 10 years. Large parts of the Bundeswehrare supplied with combat clothing from Hexonia, including underwear, padded or wool-made insulation layers, combat clothing and weather protection clothing, which are sensibly harmonized within the system. Hexonia supplies not only the German Armed Forces, but also the Dutch Armed Forces: the Defensie Operationeel Kleding Systeem (DOKS) is a modern combat clothing system that is supplied to the entire Dutch army and parts of the Belgian army.
Hexonia also focuses on the system concept in the development and manufacture of helmets. Since 2022, Hexonia has been supplying the German Special Forces units with the TRIVIUM helmet system. In addition to the combat helmet, TRIVIUM includes various add-on components such as side protection elements, mandible protection, visors and a ballistic appliqué, which extend the protective area and ensure all-round head protection.
The security of supply for the German armed and security forces is acentral pillar of Hexonia's corporate strategy: Hexonia therefore manufacturesmost of its products at its own company locations in Nettetal andThum-Jahnsbach, as well as at the NFM locations in Ski (Norway), Lebork(Poland) and Pleven (Bulgaria) and Madagascar.

Hexonia's innovative clothing systems not only protect against natural and man-made threats, they also support soldier performance. The systems are modular in design, and all layers are carefully harmonized in size and function. This allows users to select the clothing that provides the best protection and comfort for their mission and climate.
Hexonia's clothing solutions offer protection against heat and cold, flame-retardant properties, camouflage and insect protection, and even ballistic protection against fragments through ballistic underwear.
Special manufacturing processes, such as reduced-seam construction, together with lightweight, high-strength materials, ensure that Hexonia's clothing is both robust and comfortable to wear.
TRIVIUM is Hexonia’s comprehensive head protection system, which consists of a combat helmet, two protective visors, a mandible protection and two side protection elements. A ballistic appliqué increases the protection level to VPAM 6 – tested in accordance with VPAM-HVN09.
The system also includes non-ballistic elements such as a carbon training helmet, helmet covers, bags and adapters. Hexonia has designed the helmet so that all accessories can be combined, allowing the level of protection to be individually adjusted to the respective situation without the need for tools. In addition to its ballistic performance, the helmet also offers impact protection based on the customer’s requirements.
TRIVIUM is available in different cuts, from ‘Super High-Cut’ to ‘Full-Cut’.
Due to the use of UHMW polyethylene, TRIVIUM is a helmet with high ballistic performance and low weight.

Hexonia offers high-performance ballistic shields that protect police forces and military special units during operations. Our AYAR shield offers protection against threats classified as VPAM APR 2006 test level 6 (7.62 x 39 | FMJ/PB/FeC | 720 m/s +/- 10).
The special contour of the shields allows for tactical handling and offers the possibility of mounting a weapon in different ways. A symmetrical cut and modular handle construction make the shields wearable for left- and right-handed users and configurable without tools.

Hexonia developed the VJTF protective vest system specifically for the needs of the IdZ-ES of the German Armed Forces. It has a modular design and offers effective protection against firearms. Depending on requirements, various ballistic protection plates with different protection levels can be integrated into the vest.

Hexonia supplies tactical pouches for equipment such as magazines, batteries, radios or GPS receivers, which are tailored to fit perfectly. Interfaces to various protective vests and carrying systems can be customized according to customer requirements.
Hexonia’s backpacks and transport bags ensure that equipment is stored neatly and securely.
A wide range of functional components complement Hexonia’s clothing systems. They provide additional protection and increase the functionality and flexibility of the entire system. These include suspenders, retaining straps, balaclavas, gloves and protectors.
